# Website privacy

This notice describes the LintLang documentation website at **lintlang.ai**, a project from [Hermes Labs](https://hermes-labs.ai). For questions about this website or information you have sent us, contact [roli@hermes-labs.ai](mailto:roli@hermes-labs.ai).

## The website and the scanner

This website provides documentation and downloads. It does not accept uploads of your instructions or run scans of your files. The LintLang 0.8.0 command-line scanner makes no model, telemetry, or network calls during a scan. Installing or upgrading the package contacts the package services you choose. ## Hosting and documentation search

Vercel hosts this website and receives the technical requests needed to serve its pages and assets. See [Vercel's privacy policy](https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy) for information about its handling of data.

Documentation search matches text in your browser against a downloaded search index. Submitting a search places the query in the page URL so you can revisit or share it. A visit to a URL containing a query also sends that URL to the hosting service. Avoid including private information in search queries or shared URLs.

## Website analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are useful and where visitors arrive from. It provides aggregate traffic statistics such as page views, referring sites, browser and device type, and approximate location. Vercel describes the data it processes in its [Web Analytics privacy documentation](https://vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy).

Our analytics integration removes query strings and URL fragments from page-view URLs. The site also sends only the origin in navigation referrers, keeping documentation search terms out of those referrer paths. It runs on the production domain only, and does not load when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party tracking cookies. We do not send custom analytics events or scanner content.

## Fonts

The site currently loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font styles and files from Google’s servers. See [Google Fonts privacy information](https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq/privacy).

## Updates and external services

Release subscriptions are handled by GitHub or your feed reader; this website has no mailing-list signup form. GitHub controls the notification preferences and account information you provide there. Links to package registries, source repositories, and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices.
